Mango Chutney

Enjoy this classic sweet and tangy condiment on a variety of roasted meats, as an accompaniment on a cheese board, or even spread on your favorite sandwich

Instruction

Add brown sugar and water to the mixing bowl. Remove the measuring cup and cook for 6 minutes / 100°C (212°F) / speed 1.

Peel and halve the onion and the garlic. Peel the ginger with the back of a spoon. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the mixing bowl. Trim chili pepper and add it to the mixing bowl. Chop for 10 seconds / speed 6. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl.

Peel the apple, remove the core and cut into quarters. Add the apple quarters to the mixing bowl and chop for 10 seconds / speed 5. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl.

Add mango and apple cider vinegar to the mixing bowl.

Remove the measuring cup and cook chutney for 60 minutes / 90°C (195°F) / speed 1.

While it is still hot, pour the chutney into sterilized screw-top jars, seal well, and place them upside down for 10 minutes. Then turn them right side up and allow to cool completely

Recipe notes

Tips & Tricks Serve with roasted poultry, pork, or lamb. Try replacing mangos with other fruits like peaches, plums, apricots, or pears. If stored unopened in a cool, dark place, chutney will keep for approximately 6 months.
