Add broccoli to the mixing bowl and chop for 5 seconds / speed 8. 2
Scrape broccoli into a medium bowl. 3
Cut celery into 1-inch (2.5cm) pieces. 4
Cut carrots into 1/2-inch (1.25cm) pieces. 5
Cut onion into quarters, then peel and cut out the root end. 6
Add butter, celery, carrots, and onion to the mixing bowl and chop for 5 seconds / speed 8. 7
Scrape down sides of the mixing bowl. 8
Remove the measuring cup and sauté vegetables for 8 minutes / 120°C (250°F) / speed 1. 9
Add flour and stir in flour for 1 minute / 120°C (250°F) / speed 1. 10
Add broccoli, broth, beer, cream cheese, salt, and pepper to the mixing bowl and cook for 30 minutes / 100°C (212°F) / speed 1. 11
Add cheddar cheese to the mixing bowl, place the spatula in the lid opening and cook for 3 minutes / 100°C (212°F) / speed 1. 12
Taste soup and add more salt if desired. 13

Transfer to freezer-safe containers and freeze up to 3 months.
To use, partially thaw in the refrigerator overnight; heat through in a large saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally (do not boil).
