Boston Baked Beans

White beans cooked in a tangy sauce redolent of molasses and Worcestershire sauce. The perfect side dish for a backyard barbecue.

Instruction

Cut onion into quarters, then peel and cut out the root end.

Add onion to the mixing bowl.

Chop onion for 4 seconds / speed 7. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl.

Cut bacon into 1/2-inch (1.25cm) pieces. Add bacon to the mixing bowl.

Remove the measuring cup and sauté for 6 minutes / 120°C (250°F) / speed 1.

Drain beans in the simmering basket, then rinse.

Add beans, stock, molasses, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, tomato paste, salt, and cayenne pepper to the mixing bowl.

Cook the beans for 20 minutes / 100°C (212°F) / speed 1.

Serve warm.
